Carl “Bud” Leslie Shepherd, age 77, of Christiansburg died, Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at his home. He was born in Vicker, VA on May 9, 1943 to the late James Hugh and Agnes I. Musselman Shepherd. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Larry Shepherd, and two sisters Shirley Sheppard and Sheila Shepherd. He was survived by his wife, Beverly Lee Shepherd, of Christiansburg; daughter and son-in-law, Angie Shepherd and Jason Alls; sons and daughters-in-law, Kerry and Leatrice Shepherd, Dean and Tracy Shepherd; grandchildren, Paige, Laiken, Justin, Issac, Zach, Dylan, Jesse, Lily, Amber, Hayden, and Evann; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Hayden; sisters and brother-in-law, Deborah Shepherd, Patsy and Frank Cooper; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Edith Shepherd, Gary and Brenda Shepherd, Jerry and Wanda Shepherd, Michael and Barbara Shepherd, Gus and Von Shepherd, Roger and Stephanie Shepherd; sister-in-law, Bobbie Shepherd; brother-in-law, James Lanier; numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Brooke Priest for her care during Bud’s illness. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 2, 2021 at 11:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jube Burk officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until service time. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
