Rosa Maria Faudoa Lozoya

Rosa Maria Faudoa Lozoya, 77, of Christiansburg, Virginia, peacefully passed away on February 8th surrounded by loved ones. Rosa Lozoya was born on October 13th, 1944 to Francisca (“Kika”) Faudoa and Jose Inez Perales in Chihuahua, Mexico. Rosa is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Bruno, Pedro, Domingo, Ventura, and Guerrero; and her sisters, Paula, Ramona, Maria de Jesus. She is survived by her brother, Carlos; her five children, Aldo Cesar, Marcos Hugo, Noe Adrian, Rene, and Jessica; her eleven grandchildren, Joshua, Amanda, Desiree, Angel, Marcos Jr., Heather, Jacob, Andrew, Jeremy, David, and Daniel; and her six great grandchildren Josue, Felicia, Andre, Anabelle, Jemima, and Judah. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 10th at 6 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, Virginia. Funeral services will be held at Blacksburg Christian Fellowship on Friday, February 11th at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens of the New River Valley. A lunch reception will follow at BCF. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local women’s shelter. Rosa was a wonderful, loving, kind, amazing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She lived her life with much courage. She was an entrepreneur as a young lady and through the years. She worked hard to support her family. Holding multiple jobs to make ends meet. She taught her children the value of working hard. She was proud to have become an American citizen. She studied hard to pursue a late career as a Certified Nurse Assistant. She worked in private home health. She loved working with the elderly. She was much loved by all the families that she worked for. She loved to garden, bowl, and crochet. Always planting tomatoes and flowers and trees, wherever she found space. She crocheted slippers and blankets for all her loved ones. She was always a servant. She visited the sick, she loved to make food for everyone, she loved to shop and find gems to gift. She lived in El Paso, TX, Los Angeles, CA, Albuquerque, N.M., and finally in Christiansburg, VA. She loved walks on the beach. She loved living in Albuquerque. Where she could sit and people-watch in the Old Centro Plaza. She came to Virginia, to help her daughter with her youngest grandkids, as she had done with all her other children. She loved the area for its beauty, but the weather was hard on her. In the summer, she always longed to visit with her older grandkids in California. Her wish was to, someday, return to Los Angeles to live with her youngest son, Rene. She never missed a holiday or birthday, you could always count on getting a card and a call from her. Rosa will be missed. She was a not only a beautiful woman, she was very thoughtful, kind, loyal, fiercely protective, wise, strong, courageous, good friend and neighbor, and hard-working, a complete and whole woman; ultimately a woman of God. Our beautiful mom, loved the Lord. And our joy is that she will suffer no more, and is with Him eternally.
